I am really feeling for all of you that are having such bad weather. Also, I am going to pretend I am not weeks days behind in posting Valentine's Day pieces. I didn't even finish them before I went to see my daughter and granddaughter in Las Vegas. Oh yes, I did get to check out Stitcher's Paradise again!!! It is simply a wonderful place to drool and fondle touch actual stitchery.
Little House Needleworks, Chocolate Box...I sewed tiny pearls all along the edge. Will finish as a faux box with the material shown with it.Up close photo of my Just Nan's Valentine's piece.
Primitive Hare's Valentine done with over-dyed thread. Using the fabric shown with it to finish.
I am still trying to decide exactly how I am going to finish my Just Nan's Valentine piece...I have left off a few lines to make it my own. Also used some over-dyed threads for more interest. I am so loving this piece. I hope to have them all finished by month's end.
I am looking forward to my trip next month to the Silver Needle Camp Wanasew with my sister. If anyone has any tips for a successful retreat, let me know as this is my first. I am going to pack lightly so I can bring home a few treasures.
More later, happy stitching, Kathy
Great finishes and love the backing fabrics. Can't wait to see them made up. Enjoy your stitching retreat, I can't help I'm afraid as I have never been on one.
ReplyDeleteYou have some lovely finishes here.
ReplyDeleteI can't give you any tips but just that you enjoy your retreat. I have never been to any as there aren't stitching retreats in my country. But I'd really love to go to one one day. Looking forward to reading your report.
A couple of years ago, I made a list shortly after returning from camp, you can find it here. Hope this helps. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's never too late for Valentine's Day! Your stitching is so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the camp--can't wait to hear all about it!
